The Hershey Company, (Hershey, PA) on November 2nd, claimed first place on Forbes 2021 list for ‘World’s Top Female Friendly Companies’ competing with 300 other companies leading the way forward for women.
According to Alicia Petross, Chief Diversity Officer of The Hershey Company: “At Hershey, we are more than female friendly – we are female forward. From internal initiatives, such as pay equity, our hiring and development strategy and women’s business resource group to external initiatives”.
Hershey’s CEO Michele Buck, is one of the few women who are included in the small percentile of female CEO’s at Fortune 500 companies. Hershey’s DEI initiatives aim to achieve dollar-for-dollar pay equity for both salaried women and people of color in the U.S. By 2025, Hershey’s pledges to have women make up 50% of its workforce.
“Pay equity is a vital component to ensuring that women continue advancing in this industry and others,” Alicia Petross, Hershey’s chief diversity officer, told Forbes.
